Fee-only financial planner
Financial planners who tell you how and where to invest your money come in two types - those who earn flat fees no matter how big your portfolio is and those who charge a percentage of your assets as fees/commissions.
A Fee-only financial planner falls into the former category wherein they are compensated only by what they charge you initially and not by selling you financial products or taking a percentage of your assets as commission.
