Game theory
In simple terms, game theory studies how and why people make decisions. It is a mathematical framework used to observe and find solutions to problems in which two conflicting/cooperating parties are capable of thinking rationally.
The games proposed under game theory generally have a strict set of rules with some input variables and expected outcomes for each decision.
